Voyager Technologies is seeking an Agentic GEOINT Mission Management Lead to own the technical vision and execution of an AI-native mission management platform that enables intelligence operators to task and orchestrate satellite constellations through natural conversation rather than manual planning tools.
In this role, you will serve as Principal Investigator for the Agentic Mission Management effort, responsible for translating operator intent into physically valid, explainable, executable collection plans. You sit at the intersection of GEOINT tasking tradecraft, collection orchestration, and agentic AI—working with state-of-the-art LLMs (Google, OpenAI) to build agents that understand orbital mechanics, sensor phenomenology, and real-world access constraints.
Key responsibilities include: designing the agentic architecture where an AI orchestrator calls mission capabilities as tools; building production-ready agents that convert plain-language operator requests into structured collection plans validated against real physics; developing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers exposing mission systems (target decks, satellite catalogs, orbit propagation, tasking interfaces, imagery archives) as robust tools; creating evaluation suites that score agents on realistic scenarios (collection satisfaction, revisit timeliness, sensor-target pairing, schedule validity, operator trust); and mentoring a small, high-tempo team of AI and mission-software engineers.
You will collaborate closely with GEOINT domain experts, former collection managers, scheduling specialists, and security/accreditation staff to encode tradecraft, policy, and safety constraints into agent behavior. The platform must build explainability and human-on-the-loop trust into every recommendation, with autonomy expanding as the system demonstrates reliability. You will represent this work to Intelligence Community and national security space customers, carrying it from working prototype to fielded, accredited capability.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who has lived the tasking-to-dissemination cycle and understands that modern target decks change hourly while constellations have grown from a handful of assets to hundreds of government, commercial, and allied satellites.
