Conversion is an agentic marketing automation platform serving modern enterprises like Plaid, ClickHouse, Webflow, and Productboard. The platform enables growth teams to run their entire go-to-market motion—from acquisition through retention—using AI agents to perform work that legacy tools like Marketo, HubSpot, and Pardot cannot. The company has raised $28M+ from Abstract Ventures, True Ventures, and HOF Capital, with a team based in San Francisco including talent from Airbnb, Palantir, Pinterest, IMC, Shopify, LinkedIn, and Microsoft.
As an Agent Solutions Engineer, you will be a founding member of the solutions engineering function, partnering with Enterprise Account Executives to close enterprise deals (typically $100k+). While a compelling pitch is necessary, customers need to see how Conversion solves their specific challenges, works with their data, and integrates into their existing systems. You will make that case through technical expertise and working demonstrations.
Key responsibilities include:
• Technical discovery and selling: Work alongside Enterprise AEs to understand customer goals, uncover technical requirements, and demonstrate how Conversion addresses their most valuable use cases.
• Custom demos and proof-of-concepts: Build tailored demos and execute proof-of-concepts that bring customer workflows to life, demonstrate measurable value, and give technical buyers confidence in the platform.
• Solution architecture: Partner with customer data, IT, and security teams to design how Conversion fits into their existing systems, addressing integrations, data flows, security requirements, and technical feasibility.
• Driving deals to close: Own the technical side of the sales process, resolve technical objections, navigate security reviews, and align stakeholders on a clear path to deployment with Deployment Strategists and Forward Deployed Engineers.
This is a founding role in a high-growth AI company with significant venture backing and a strong team pedigree. The role requires in-person presence 5 days per week in San Francisco.
Qualifications:
• Experience in GTM or sales at a B2B organization
• Background in software engineering (studied or worked), with demonstrated preference for customer-facing work over individual coding
