You will lead agent liquidity and cash operations in Niger, ensuring that agent liquidity and customer needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively. You'll manage cash movements, coordinate with Cash In Transit firms, and oversee the agent network to maintain optimal cash flow across the country.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and lead a skilled team to support Wave's fast-growing operations in Niger
- Develop materials and processes for a sustainable, structured liquidity department
- Monitor liquidity status nationwide and identify priority areas
- Develop innovative solutions to address liquidity challenges
- Plan and coordinate liquidity logistics across the agent network, including rebalancing through banks, Cash In Transit companies, and premium agents
- Manage the agent network with minimal liquidity distress
- Adhere to all security standards and procedures, reporting challenges proactively
- Perform additional duties as assigned
You'll be based in Niamey with frequent travel throughout Niger. This is a permanent position. Requirements:
- Fluency in English, French, and a local language
- 5+ years of experience in cash movements, Cash-In-Transit, or treasury operations
- 2+ years of team management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or comparable field
- Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time within Niger
- Strong integrity and proven customer relationship management experience
- Strong knowledge of agent network management and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
- Experience with process documentation and knowledge transfer
- Adaptability, creative thinking, and ability to iterate quickly
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience leading teams responsible for efficient day-to-day agent network operations
- Demonstrated tenacity and commitment to getting things done
