Renaissance is a global edtech leader supporting over 18 million students across 100+ countries with educational assessments, practice solutions, and data analytics. The Admissions Testing team develops high-quality assessments for UK grammar, independent, and fair-banding schools, creating approximately 35 new assessments annually.
As an Admissions Testing Editor, you will own the editorial development, production, and quality assurance of a portfolio of admissions assessments. You'll manage projects from manuscript stage through final print delivery, working with test developers, typesetters, internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and customers to ensure every assessment meets the highest standards of accuracy, security, and quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing editorial development and production of allocated admissions assessments from manuscript to publication
- Ensuring materials meet exceptional standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Overseeing and participating in proofreading, quality assurance, and approval processes
- Managing project schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Briefing and managing external suppliers including proofreaders, QA reviewers, and recording studios
- Maintaining assessment security and protecting intellectual property
- Identifying efficiency improvements and cost-reduction opportunities
You should have exceptional attention to detail, strong copy-editing and proofreading skills, excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and strong written and verbal communication. Experience managing stakeholders and external partners is essential. Desirable qualifications include project scheduling experience, familiarity with asset management systems and metadata tagging, Adobe InDesign proficiency, artwork briefing knowledge, and background in educational publishing or assessment environments.
This is a hybrid role based in London (2 days per week, typically Tuesday and Thursday) with occasional travel to other offices. The company is relocating to a more central London location later in 2026.
