As Acquisition Operations Manager, you will own the systems, programs, and operating rhythms that take a prospect from first touch to active, spending customer. You will build, not inherit, partnering with Sales, BDR, Marketing Ops, Finance, Product, and Customer Success leadership to turn strategy into repeatable programs that improve pipeline quality, conversion, and activation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and optimize the end-to-end sales-acquired customer journey, from ISR/BDR prospecting through AE sales funnel management and activation via first card usage (months 0–4)
- Own and optimize the acquisition operating system: outbound cadences, deal-execution playbooks, funnel performance insights, and the activation ramp that converts signed contracts into usage
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize the acquisition tech stack (sales engagement, Salesforce pipeline configuration), driving adoption across BDR and AE teams
- Own pipeline health metrics: coverage ratios, stage conversion, win/loss analysis
- Build and own forecasting and quota-setting for sales-acquired TPV; partner with Marketing Ops on self-serve-to-sales handoff
- Build scalable territory and account-assignment programs for BDR/AE capacity
- Partner with BDR/AE leadership on reporting cadences, monetization levers, operating rhythms, and performance metrics
- Own streamlining handoffs from Marketing > BDR, BDR > AE, and AE to Customer Activation teams
- Translate fragmented pipeline and activation data into recommendations for Sales and GTM leadership
- Identify and automate manual BDR/AE work so reps spend more time selling
Float is one of Canada's fastest-growing fintech companies with a team that includes leaders from Uber, Stripe, Shopify, Top Hat, Ada, Doordash, Snowflake, and Wealthsimple. The company operates with a culture based on feedback, decentralized decision-making, and ownership. The hybrid role is based in Toronto with in-office days for connection and collaboration.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in Sales Ops, Revenue Ops, or similar with end-to-end ownership of a sales-acquired pipeline
- Experience in a consumption/usage-based business where activation, not just bookings, drives revenue (asset)
- Proven track record building outbound and sales programs with measured impact on business outcomes (pipeline volume/quality, deal size, win rates, productivity)
- Hands-on Salesforce and sales-engagement tooling experience
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable turning fragmented data into a forecast leadership can trust
Not ideal if you prefer inheriting mature processes, have a background primarily in BDR/AE execution rather than systems ownership, or would rather report on metrics than build what generates them.
