Cyclic Materials is building a circular supply chain for rare earth elements and critical materials. The company recovers rare earths from end-of-life products and transforms them into high-purity materials for permanent magnets used in AI, automotive, e-mobility, electronics, semiconductors, energy, and defense sectors. Founded in 2021, Cyclic Materials operates facilities in Ontario and Arizona with expansion underway in South Carolina. The company is backed by T. Rowe Price, Microsoft, Amazon, Hitachi Ventures, BMW i Ventures, and other strategic investors.
The Account Manager will serve as the inside-sales partner to the Account Executive, supporting customer and supplier growth across Arizona and neighboring states (California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington). This is a primarily office-based role in Mesa.
Key responsibilities include:
• Partner with the Account Executive on account planning, meeting briefs, pricing information, and commercial materials for customer and supplier discussions
• Maintain regular communication with accounts between field visits and ensure commitments and next steps are completed on time
• Qualify inbound leads and conduct proactive outreach to prospective suppliers, customers, recyclers, dismantlers, and industrial partners
• Move qualified opportunities through the sales process by confirming material type, volume, quality, location, commercial terms, and timing
• Serve as a responsive day-to-day contact for assigned customers and suppliers, supporting onboarding, documentation, pricing communication, order coordination, and issue resolution
• Support sourcing and qualification of end-of-life products, rare earth-containing components, manufacturing scrap, and electronic waste
• Prepare quotes, pricing updates, and purchase documentation using approved pricing guidelines
• Track open quotes, purchase orders, loads, pickups, deliveries, and account-specific commitments
• Maintain accurate account records, contacts, activities, opportunities, volumes, and pricing in the CRM
• Work closely with Operations, Logistics, Finance, Legal, Technical, and Executive Leadership to support customer and supplier requirements
• Share customer feedback, competitive information, and market observations with the commercial team
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Business, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials Science, Economics, or related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered
• Three or more years of account management, inside sales, commercial coordination, procurement, customer service, or industrial B2B sales experience
• Experience in metal recycling, automotive recycling, electronics recycling, manufacturing, mining and metals, or critical minerals is preferred
• Strong phone, email, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage customer follow-up, quotes, orders, and multiple priorities with accuracy
• Comfort working with pricing, volumes, margins, forecasts, and basic commercial analysis
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Collaborative working style and ability to operate effectively in an inside-sales and outside-sales partnership
• Fluent in English; Spanish is an asset
• Ability to work primarily from Mesa office with occasional travel for customer visits and industry events
