Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The Account Manager, Enterprise role is based in Madrid and focuses on managing relationships with innovative international merchants across multiple industries and channels.
In this position, you will own customer relationships and drive commercial growth through strategic account management. Your responsibilities include:
**Relationship Management:** Build and maintain strong customer relationships by understanding organizational structures and aligning internal and external stakeholders. Develop a global network within Adyen and collaborate effectively across cultures and time zones.
**Commercial Acumen:** Lead commercial discussions with customers while meeting strategic and financial targets for assigned accounts. Drive expansion opportunities and identify value-adding products.
**Strategic Consultation:** Position yourself as a trusted advisor, delivering expertise and payment guidance to customers. Use data and analytics to tell compelling stories and provide business insights that help customers grow.
**Project Management:** Prioritize and execute short and long-term projects with varying timelines across multiple accounts. Manage competing priorities effectively.
**Customer Advocacy:** Serve as the internal voice and champion for your customers, providing feedback loops and insights to improve Adyen's offerings.
You will work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with high autonomy. The role includes some domestic and international travel. Adyen offers an AM Academy to help you develop expertise in the global payments landscape.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in client-facing, commercial roles such as account management, consulting, or payments industry (merchant side)
- Preferred experience in complex enterprise software, technical infrastructure, or financial services
- Preferred experience in the retail industry (managing retail merchants)
- Full professional written and verbal proficiency in Spanish and English (Catalan is a plus)
- Ability to engage others and develop strong working relationships at all management levels
- Strong business acumen and analytical abilities to assess and help reach client goals
- Comfortable synthesizing complex data sets and using data strategically
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while motivating cross-functional collaboration
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
