VAST Data is seeking an Account Executive to drive sales within the higher education and SLED (State, Local, and Education) sectors. This role is central to VAST's mission as a data platform company for the AI era, building enterprise software infrastructure to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training/inference.
You will develop business across enterprise-level customers, focusing on colleges and universities. Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining executive-level relationships with decision-makers in higher education institutions
- Generating revenue through direct sales and collaboration with a network of Channel Partners
- Managing complex sales cycles aligned with customer buying timelines and public sector procurement processes
- Guiding customers from initial engagement through proof-of-concept and post-sale expansion opportunities
- Developing and presenting proposals that clearly demonstrate how VAST solutions address customer business objectives
- Prospecting and penetrating large accounts to identify and close new business
