SchooLinks is the fastest-growing college and career readiness platform in the country, operating in 40+ states. The company builds technology that connects students to their futures and operates on core values of performance-driven execution, above-and-beyond effort, caring candor, and ownership.
As an Account Executive, you own your territory like your own business with three core outcomes: actively build your pipeline, sell well-represented deals, and hit your quota. You prospect relentlessly, multi-thread into accounts to build relationships at every level (Superintendents, CAOs, Deputy Superintendents, Directors, Counselors), and earn executive sponsorship to close deals on your timeline.
Key responsibilities include:
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual booking targets and pipeline goals
- Maintain accurate forecasting and own your data hygiene in Salesforce
- Self-source a meaningful portion of pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and event follow-up
- Research accounts deeply to understand district pain points, budget cycles, and decision-making structures
- Build relationships at multiple levels and never run single-threaded deals
- Present deals honestly in pipeline reviews with clear articulation of customer pain points mapped to SchooLinks solutions
- Leverage reference accounts to accelerate regional expansion
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, implementation, and marketing teams
Requirements:
- 2+ years in a closing sales role with proven track record of hitting quota
- Hunter mentality: prospect proactively and don't rely on inbound to fill pipeline (prior BDR/SDR experience is a plus)
- Multi-threading ability: naturally build wide and deep relationships in accounts
- Competitive drive: treat sales like a sport and hate losing
- Coachability: take feedback directly, apply it fast, and don't make excuses
- Fast learner: internalize new products, features, and market dynamics quickly
- Ownership mindset: see gaps and fill them without being told
- Experience in K-12 EdTech or public-sector sales is a strong plus
