MaintainX, now part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, is a mobile-first work execution platform serving 13,000+ customers including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL, and Volvo. The company manages 13.9 million assets and 79.5 million completed work orders annually.
You will serve as a technical sales specialist on the Asset Intelligence team, which sells products that connect MaintainX to machine data: OT connectors, vibration and general sensor integrations, and operator licenses. You will work alongside account managers to bring these products to existing MaintainX customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Build business cases for Asset Intelligence by connecting customer downtime and maintenance costs to relevant solutions, enabling confident buyer decisions.
- Conduct technical discovery with maintenance and reliability leaders to identify machines and failure modes (bearing wear, lubrication issues, misalignment) where condition monitoring delivers ROI.
- Demo products and lead technical conversations through close, escalating to solution consultants for complex scoping.
- Manage a high-volume pipeline of smaller deals while maintaining accurate CRM records to support team forecasting.
- Share field insights with Product and Marketing to refine Asset Intelligence positioning.
You will partner with an account manager on every deal and share territory with a senior overlay AE. Expect in-person customer visits at least quarterly. Within your first year, you will be fully ramped, running your own pipeline, and the primary contact for account managers on sensor and condition-monitoring questions.
The role offers autonomy, rapid promotion based on output, and the opportunity to own meaningful parts of a new, early-stage product line within a profitable public company.
Requirements:
- 3+ years selling technical solutions to maintenance, reliability, or operations leaders in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Working knowledge of how machines fail and how monitoring detects issues early (analyst-level expertise not required).
- Proven track record meeting quota in a technical or specialist sales role.
- Ability to lead demos and business-case conversations with both operations and technical stakeholders.
- Pipeline discipline to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and forecast accurately.
- Willingness to work from Raleigh office at least two days per week and travel to customers.
Nice to have:
- Experience selling predictive maintenance via vibration analysis.
- Background in CMMS, EAM, APM, industrial IoT, or condition-monitoring software.
- Digital transformation or value-consulting experience.
- Proven MEDDPICC methodology experience.
