Anduril Industries is seeking an Account Director, Maritime to lead customer engagement for the Dive-XL autonomous undersea vehicle program in Australia. This senior, externally-facing role combines operational expertise, capability development experience, and commercial judgment to serve as a principal stakeholder in the relationship with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), Defence Science and Technology Group, and Commonwealth departments that shape and fund the program.
You will report to the Product Director for XL-AUV and operate as a strategic partner with the SEA1200 Program Director, owning the customer interface while the Program Director manages contract execution and delivery. The role requires credibility discussing autonomy behaviors and payload trade-offs with engineering teams, familiarity with how capability requirements are developed and funded within Defence, and conversance with the ASDEFCON framework.
Key responsibilities include: managing Commonwealth relationships across RAN, NSSG, and relevant departments; supporting a disciplined cadence of briefings, capability forums, working groups, and demonstrations in classified and unclassified environments; serving as a principal channel conveying customer intent internally and representing Anduril's capabilities accurately externally; contributing to employment concepts and CONOPS for autonomous undersea capability; distilling operational analysis and threat assessments into clear, prioritized capability needs; supporting growth from current contracts toward fleet scale; and ensuring contract execution remains aligned to the capability roadmap.
You will work across Growth, Programs, Engineering, and Contracts as part of a broader engagement team rather than as the sole customer interface. Your operational judgment and customer insight will directly inform how an autonomous undersea capability is defined, developed, and deployed. The role demands someone with military or defense operational background, understanding of Australian Defence procurement processes, and the ability to translate between technical engineering discussions and strategic customer requirements.
