Anduril Industries is seeking an Account Director, Maritime to lead customer engagement for the Dive-XL autonomous undersea vehicle program in Australia. This senior, externally-facing role combines operational expertise, capability development experience, and commercial judgment to serve as a principal stakeholder in the relationship with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), Defence Science and Technology Group, and Commonwealth departments.
You will report to the Product Director for XL-AUV and operate as a strategic partnership with the SEA1200 Program Director, owning the customer interface while they manage contract execution and delivery. Your responsibilities include:
• Building and maintaining Commonwealth relationships across RAN, NSSG, and sponsoring departments through a disciplined cadence of briefings, capability forums, working groups, and demonstrations in classified and unclassified environments.
• Serving as the principal voice of the customer within Anduril, conveying customer intent to internal teams and representing Anduril's capabilities accurately to external stakeholders.
• Contributing to the development of employment concepts and CONOPS (Concepts of Operations) for autonomous undersea capability in the Australian context, ensuring alignment with RAN operational intent.
• Translating operational analysis, threat assessments, and customer intent into clear, prioritized capability needs that inform the Dive-XL product roadmap.
• Supporting growth from current contracts toward fleet-scale deployment, including early requirement shaping and responses to Commonwealth market approaches within the ASDEFCON framework.
• Ensuring contract execution and customer commitments remain aligned to the capability roadmap, maintaining credibility in discussions about autonomy behaviors, payload trade-offs, and technical requirements.
• Working cross-functionally with Growth, Global Defence, Engineering, Programs, Contracts, and Legal teams to identify and qualify capture opportunities while aligning Australian pursuits with international allied undersea programs.
The role requires operational judgment, familiarity with Defence capability development and funding processes, and technical credibility with engineering teams. You will be credible discussing autonomous vehicle behaviors and sensor payloads, understand how capability requirements are developed and contested within Defence, and be conversant with the ASDEFCON contracting framework.
