Salary: USD 245,000 - 310,000 / annual

Anthropic is seeking an Accommodations Partner to own the end-to-end reasonable accommodation process for employees and candidates globally. This is a strategic HR role that combines hands-on casework with process-building and policy development. You will serve as the subject matter expert on complex, high-stakes accommodation requests and disability law across jurisdictions where Anthropic operates. Key responsibilities include: **Interactive Process Management:** Lead the reasonable accommodation process from initial request through resolution for U.S.-based employees and candidates, partnering with employees, managers, People Partners, and recruiters to evaluate functional limitations and reach legally sound, operationally workable determinations. **Global Accommodation Management:** Own accommodation requests from employees and candidates outside the U.S., serving as the primary point of contact in partnership with regional People Partners and Employment Legal. **Complex Case Ownership:** Personally manage complex, high-stakes, or legally ambiguous cases involving conflicting medical documentation, competing business needs, or heightened legal risk, while providing guidance to People Partners on straightforward cases. **Cross-Functional Partnership:** Collaborate with Benefits, Recruiting, Employment Legal, and external accommodation platform vendors to support timely and accurate case review. **Policy & Program Development:** Build scalable, repeatable processes and documentation for accommodation requests across regions, developing frameworks that support consistent, defensible decision-making while remaining responsive to individual case nuance. **Education & Enablement:** Deliver training and guidance to People Partners, managers, and interviewers on accommodations best practices and confidentiality. **Documentation & Compliance:** Ensure accommodation requests, supporting materials, and determinations are properly documented and handled with appropriate confidentiality. **Data & Insights:** Track accommodation metrics and trends to identify patterns, inform policy decisions, and proactively flag systemic issues or risk areas. The company operates with a hybrid policy requiring at least 25% in-office time, though some roles may require more. **Requirements:** - Deep working knowledge of the ADA and applicable state disability accommodation laws, with demonstrated experience applying this knowledge to real accommodation processes and decisions, including full understanding of the interactive process - Demonstrated experience independently managing complex, high-stakes, or legally sensitive accommodation cases - Skilled at managing highly sensitive medical and disability-related information with discretion, empathy, and sound judgment - Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with employees, managers, and HR at all levels - Comfortable with ambiguity and able to create structure where none exists - Deep commitment to fairness, equity, and creating an accessible, supportive workplace - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a field relevant to the role **Preferred Qualifications:** - 5+ years of progressive experience managing reasonable accommodation requests in a corporate or HR setting - Familiarity with Disclo, Sparrow, or similar accommodation case management platforms - Experience managing international accommodation requests or familiarity with multi-country accommodation frameworks - Background working at technology companies or startups - Experience building or scaling an accommodations function - Knowledge of or interest in AI safety and unique people challenges in frontier AI development
