Voyager Technologies is seeking an Accelerated Physics Simulation Engineer to join the Agentic Computational Engineering (ACE) team. This role sits at the intersection of numerical methods, GPU computing, and machine learning, focused on developing fast, high-fidelity physics simulation capabilities that enable AI agents to evaluate and optimize hardware designs across millions of iterations. You will design and implement accelerated physics solvers (CFD, thermal, structural, plasma) optimized for use within agentic optimization loops. A key responsibility is developing surrogate models—such as physics-informed neural networks, neural operators, and graph neural networks—that approximate high-fidelity simulations at orders-of-magnitude lower computational cost. These accelerated solvers and surrogates will be integrated into the ACE platform, allowing AI agents to call them as tools during design and optimization workflows. Collaboration is central to the role. You will work closely with the ACE Applications Lead (Mechanical/Propulsion) to identify critical regimes and quantities of interest, ensuring that accelerated models remain physically credible and validated against both high-fidelity solvers and real test data. You will also create and curate training datasets for surrogate model development. The ACE team is building Voyager's Generative Engine—an AI-native platform designed to compress complex hardware development cycles from years to days. The platform integrates Design for Manufacturing (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA), and Design for Test (DfT) principles from the earliest design stages. This is a role for a computational scientist or engineer with deep expertise in PDEs and GPU computing, who is excited about transforming overnight simulation runs into millisecond-scale kernels and leveraging AI tools as a force multiplier.
