The Academic Operations Manager will be a key operational driver for Verto's global study centers, reporting to the Associate Director of Academic Operations.
This is a hands-on individual-contributor role that bridges on-site academic operations with US-based HQ leadership. Maintain and update resources and templates for recurring AAHQ processes (Add/Drop week, Course & Faculty Evaluations, Onboarding, etc.). Author and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring workflows. Bridge academic operations between on-site and HQ teams, translating global-to-local operational needs.
**Academic Technology:** Scope and document business requirements for academic-technology projects and perform quality assurance (QA) testing. Monitor systems for functionality, identify issues, and recommend improvements. Serve as account administrator for externally contracted tools, ensuring FERPA compliance and designing system training.

Develop actionable insights and decision-ready summaries in various formats (Slack updates to board presentations). Support standard and ad-hoc department leadership reporting and external reporting for Business Reviews, End of Semester analysis, and Annual Reporting.
**Operations Support and Training:** Partner with on-site Academic Operations Specialists to monitor technology use and gather feedback. Serve as first point of contact for escalations and provide ongoing systems expertise and training. Monitor resolution of support tickets and turn recurring issues into systemic fixes. Support global on-site operations during peak periods. Serve as project lead for faculty and staff credentialing, onboarding, and offboarding. Plan and coordinate logistics for AAHQ team offsites. Identify and recommend technology and AI-based solutions to address bottlenecks. Contribute to onboarding and training materials. Facilitate process retrospectives and translate reflections into action items.
