Salary: USD 140,000 - 160,000 / annual
Harbinger is an American commercial electric vehicle (EV) company developing innovative medium-duty EV and hybrid platforms. The Production Manager will lead 2nd shift manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, on-time, and quality production while meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead 2nd shift production operations with accountability for daily execution of the production plan
- Direct the successful launch and ramp-up of new assembly lines, including staffing, training, equipment readiness, process validation, and achievement of production and efficiency targets
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve productivity, optimize labor utilization, and lower Hours Per Unit (HPU)
- Monitor production performance and KPIs, using data to identify gaps and drive measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost
- Lead structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for production, quality, equipment, and process issues
- Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Product Development to resolve issues and improve processes
- Collaborate on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives to improve product quality and production efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, work instructions, and company procedures; maintain a Safety First, Quality at the Source culture
- Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and production team members to build a high-performing culture of accountability and ownership
- Lead daily 2nd shift production meetings, communicate priorities and performance, and ensure effective shift handoffs across all shifts
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, or EV operations; at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of vehicle repair, rework, or assembly processes
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Skilled in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and process improvement
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with ERP/MES systems and production tracking tools
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
