Salary: USD 200,000 - 300,000 / annual
Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling individuals to trade on real-world outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. The platform aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities and has grown to $21B in trading volume in 2025.
You will own Polymarket's physical workspace and the experience of working there, reporting to the Head of People Experience. You'll manage the Office Manager and Receptionist, and be responsible for running NYC HQ as the company scales from current headcount to 200–500 people. This is a strategic operations role focused on building systems and shipping continuous improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining NYC HQ at a high operational standard: space, supplies, furniture, and workplace culture
- Selecting and managing vendors (cleaning, catering, facilities maintenance) and owning the workplace budget
- Creating a strong first impression for investors, candidates, and partners through office design and presentation
- Collaborating with IT and Security on visitor management, room booking, inventory, and maintenance systems
- Owning workplace health, safety, and compliance: ergonomics, local regulations, emergency preparedness, evacuation plans
- Managing physical access, visitor protocols, and incident response with Security
- Building and coaching the workplace team with clear goals and high standards
- Developing playbooks and SOPs for consistent operations
- Owning the in-office events program: happy hours, celebrations, All Hands logistics
- Partnering with People Ops on culture programming: swag, welcome kits, recognition, onboarding
- Managing the landlord relationship and lease compliance
- Leading major office build-out and relocation: coordinating with designers, architects, permitting, furniture, timeline, and budget
- Scoping and building new office locations as the company expands
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7–10+ years in workplace, office operations, or facilities at a high-growth startup or tech company, including managing people
- Demonstrated experience building a workplace function and leading the team that runs it day to day
- Experience leading a major office build-out or relocation
- Strong budget and vendor management skills; ability to negotiate and hold people accountable
- Ability to build durable systems rather than one-off fixes
- Extreme ownership mentality: proactive problem-solving and prevention
- High taste and attention to detail in design and operations
- Strong communication skills across executives, engineers, and contractors
PLUS (preferred):
- Experience in fintech, crypto, or fast-moving startups
- Experience managing office build-outs in NYC
- Event planning background (internal or external)
- Familiarity with Notion, Slack, and modern workplace tools
- Experience partnering with People Ops/HR on culture programming
