Rho is a modern banking platform for startups, offering accounts, cards, expense management, and financial operations in one integrated platform. The Workplace Generalist role is based in San Francisco and owns the end-to-end experience of Rho's office environment.
Key responsibilities include: managing SF's workplace programming calendar from concept through execution, including events, activations, and community moments with full logistics and budget ownership. You'll partner with the People team on space planning, sublease transitions, and new market buildouts, localizing Rho's workplace standards while staying aligned with real estate roadmaps. You serve as SF's primary point of contact for all workplace and space matters, building trust across departments and proactively closing gaps before they escalate.
Operationally, you'll monitor office supplies, equipment, and cleanliness daily, manage the vendor roster (cleaning, maintenance, catering, security), and handle inventory and procurement to keep offices fully stocked. You own the first-day and last-day employee experiences, including access provisioning. You'll build systems and documentation to make workplace operations visible and scalable, tracking metrics like budget-to-actual and vendor performance to continuously raise standards.
As Rho expands to new cities, you'll share learnings and help establish workplace standards in additional markets. You're expected to use AI as a force multiplier for writing, research, planning, and operations, freeing time for judgment and taste. You'll prioritize daily work, triage incoming requests, and protect the team from noise.
Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 1–3 years in events, hospitality, workplace, or operations; sharp attention to detail; comfort with unglamorous work paired with ambition to systematize it; discretion and professionalism; strong time management and precision; proficiency in Jira, Slack, and Notion; active AI usage; ability to lift and move boxes. Preferred: vendor management, negotiation, or budget oversight experience; bilingual Spanish.
