NALA is a high-growth fintech company building cross-border payments infrastructure for the next billion users. Since 2022, the company has scaled 120x, grown to 150+ employees, raised $50M+ from top-tier investors, and was named to Forbes Fintech 50 in 2025 & 2026. The company operates two core products: NALA (a consumer app for cheaper, faster cross-border transfers from UK/US/EU to Africa and Asia) and Rafiki (B2B payments infrastructure powering MoneyGram and Western Union).
As Workplace & Culture Manager, you will own the day-to-day operations and culture of NALA's London office (Canary Wharf), making it the best place the team has ever worked. Your core responsibilities include: managing office operations (supplies, vendors, facilities, health & safety, front-of-house); owning culture and experience (socials, celebrations, team lunches, offsites, rituals that bring people together); delivering brilliant onboarding experiences (desk setup, welcome logistics, first-week integration); supporting people operations (HiBob administration, benefits, perks, general HR support); and providing auxiliary support to executive leadership.
You must have prior experience running an office or workplace (office manager, workplace coordinator, EA-plus or similar role) and genuinely enjoy the people and culture side, not just logistics. You're organized, proactive, high-agency, warm, approachable, and discreet. You thrive in fast-moving scale-ups where priorities shift rapidly. Nice-to-have skills include HR systems experience (HiBob), onboarding/benefits administration, fintech/tech background, and interest in growing into People Operations.
Success metrics at 3 months: seamless office operations, owned onboarding logistics, first in-office social delivered, established as trusted first point of contact. At 6 months: full culture calendar running with at least one larger team moment, tidy HiBob/benefits administration, strong team feedback on in-office experience.
