8Fleet is a rapidly growing LA-based technology and logistics startup building operational infrastructure for rideshare fleets (both non-autonomous and future autonomous). The company is expanding across Los Angeles and beyond, seeking a Workforce Operations Coordinator to own driver scheduling, attendance, and workforce utilization across the West Region. In this role, you will be the primary owner of weekly driver scheduling across assigned markets, ensuring available drivers are consistently scheduled to meet operational demand. You'll monitor driver utilization metrics, identify underutilized drivers, and proactively develop plans to increase shift participation through a combination of phone calls, text outreach, and coaching. This is a high-touch, data-driven position that blends operations management with sales development—you'll build relationships with drivers while consistently driving scheduling and attendance outcomes. Key responsibilities include: managing driver scheduling and utilization; conducting proactive outreach to underscheduled or underperforming drivers; owning attendance tracking and managing call-offs, no-shows, and late arrivals; immediately contacting drivers who miss shifts to recover available labor; issuing attendance coaching and corrective actions; maintaining workforce reporting and KPIs; building and optimizing automated communication workflows using AI and operational tools; serving as a primary scheduling resource for drivers; identifying process improvements; and partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Market Leadership, Fleet, and Driver Support teams. Successful candidates bring 1–3 years of experience in workforce management, operations, scheduling, inside sales, customer success, startups, recruiting, or similar high-volume coordination roles. You should be comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls, texts, and emails daily; have strong organizational and communication skills; be highly data-driven with advanced spreadsheet proficiency; be comfortable learning new technology and AI-powered tools; and ideally have experience building or managing automated workflows. A bachelor's degree is required. Experience with rideshare platforms (Uber, Lyft) and workforce management software (When I Work, Deputy, UKG) is a plus. You must be comfortable working early morning or evening hours as needed.
