Salary: USD 110,000 - 150,000 / annual
WEBTOON Entertainment, a NASDAQ-listed global entertainment company and leader in mobile webcomics and visual storytelling, seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to join its Finance team in El Segundo, California.
You will be responsible for the full scope of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting close for a sophisticated global public company. Your responsibilities include conducting P&L analysis, establishing and maintaining accounting policies, reviewing financial accounting issues, and supporting external audits. You will proactively drive improvements to closing-related processes and systems, with an emphasis on leveraging AI and automation to increase efficiency. You will also actively communicate and collaborate with WEBTOON group finance teams in Korea, Japan, and Canada to ensure completeness and reliability of financial closing.
This role offers exposure to content-platform-specific accounting policies and the opportunity to support various business unit initiatives. REQUIREMENTS:
- 7–12 years of experience in US-GAAP or IFRS accounting and standalone/separate financial closing
- Experience supporting and responding to external audits at a publicly listed company
- Strong sense of responsibility and professional ethics with a proactive work approach
- Skilled in internal and external communication; flexible in collaboration
- Fluent in both Korean and English (required)
- Proactive in leveraging AI to improve processes and drive efficiency
PREFERRED:
- Accounting certification (CPA)
- Experience in IT/platform industry
- Experience preparing for adoption of new accounting standards and establishing accounting policies
- Experience improving closing-related processes and systems
- Experience applying AI or automation tools to accounting/finance processes
