WelbeHealth is seeking a Vice President of Transportation to lead enterprise-wide transportation operations across a rapidly growing national PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization serving vulnerable seniors. Reporting to the VP of Home Services or designated executive leader, this role owns the strategic vision, execution, and operational excellence of transportation services across all WelbeHealth markets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing executive leadership and enterprise oversight for all transportation operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality, compliant service delivery across multiple markets
- Developing and executing scalable transportation strategies to support market expansion, participant access, and organizational growth
- Establishing enterprise transportation standards, governance, policies, and operating procedures that drive consistency, accountability, safety, and service excellence
- Owning transportation performance metrics including service levels, safety outcomes, regulatory compliance, participant experience, cost management, and operational efficiency
- Leading the design and implementation of transportation operating models (fleet, brokered, hybrid solutions) tailored to local market needs while maintaining enterprise standards
- Partnering with Operations, Clinical, Finance, HR, Compliance, Procurement, and Technology leaders to ensure integrated, participant-centered solutions
- Overseeing national transportation budget development, forecasting, capital planning, and ROI evaluation for strategic initiatives
- Directing enterprise fleet strategy including acquisition, replacement planning, maintenance standards, lifecycle management, and safety performance
- Leading vendor sourcing, selection, contract negotiations, and performance management for transportation providers and fleet partners
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, business, healthcare administration, or related field (master's degree preferred)
- Valid driver's license for at least 5 years with no more than one moving violation or one at-fault accident in the last 3 years
- Minimum 12-15 years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, healthcare transportation, or highly regulated operating environments, including significant multi-site or national responsibility
- Minimum 7 years of senior leadership experience overseeing managers and leaders, with demonstrated success building teams, leading through growth, and driving organizational transformation
- Experience in healthcare services, senior care, non-emergency medical transportation, or PACE strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success developing and executing enterprise strategy, operating models, and large-scale initiatives that improve performance and scalability
- Experience leading fleet lifecycle management, transportation procurement, and vendor governance at scale
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing large operating budgets and capital planning
