Salary: USD 163,300 - 236,800 / annual

Moody's Ratings is seeking a VP of Risk Management to lead the second line of defense risk function for the Digital Economy, AI, blockchain, and DeFi initiatives. This is a strategic leadership role reporting into the Risk Management organization, responsible for developing and maintaining risk appetite frameworks, providing independent review and challenge of operational risk profiles, and serving as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders. Key responsibilities include: establishing and communicating risk appetite for digital and AI-driven initiatives aligned with regulatory expectations; providing independent review of the Digital Economy risk profile and ORM framework implementation; representing second line risk at governance committees; challenging first line RCSAs for quality and adherence to standards; monitoring emerging risks in AI, blockchain, and decentralized finance; overseeing GRC tool usage; and acting as a transformation risk advisor from design through implementation. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of risk management experience in the digital economy, AI/ML, and blockchain, with deep expertise in AI model lifecycle governance, validation, transparency, and explainability. Required skills include technology governance, RCSA, control evaluation, financial services compliance, and practical experience with decentralized finance and blockchain operational risk. You should have proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in global, highly regulated environments, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Education: Bachelor's degree in a technology discipline (Computer Science, Information Management, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or equivalent). Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, or CISA. Working knowledge of risk management frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, ORX, and ISO 27001 is expected.
