The company is backed by leading venture capital firms and is building an operating system for dental practices globally. You will own the entire global Accounting and Treasury function within the Finance organization, serving as the primary accounting partner to the C-suite as Dandy scales internationally and prepares for IPO. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Close, Reporting & Consolidation - Own financial reporting end-to-end: close, consolidation, and account reconciliation. Reduce monthly close from 7+ days to 3–4 days. - Lead the shift from annual to quarterly reporting, delivering consistent quarterly closes and SEC-ready financial statements including segments and EPS disclosures. - Set and enforce close standards across the team; partner with People, Ops, and FP&A to ensure data accuracy in source systems (HRIS, payroll, billing, procurement) before close begins. IPO Readiness, Controls & Audit - Own the relationship with the Big 4 auditor. - Lead SOX readiness: control gap assessment, remediation, segregation of duties, and access/change-management controls across financial systems. - Write and maintain formal accounting policies and technical accounting memos (revenue recognition, ASC 842 leases, stock compensation, complex instruments, purchase price allocations). Global & International Expansion - Be the primary accounting stakeholder for international expansion across Europe, LATAM, and APAC. - Partner with Tax on transfer pricing, intercompany agreements, VAT, indirect tax, and quarterly tax provision. - Simplify intercompany processes and build a consolidation model that scales as new entities are added. - Support global treasury and banking, including international banking partners and multi-currency AP/payments. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting - Partner with Operations and FP&A on cost accounting for labs: inventory, cost cards, labor allocation, and fixed assets (scanner fleet, manufacturing equipment). - Ensure cost and margin data accuracy to support leadership capital allocation and gross margin decisions. Systems, FinOps & Automation - Own the accounting systems roadmap centered on NetSuite, including integrations with billing, Stripe, Avalara, HRIS/payroll, procure-to-pay, fixed asset, and lease tools. - Replace manual, spreadsheet-based processes with automated, auditable ones; leverage AI tools. - Partner with Business Systems on ITGCs, data governance, and finance system administration. Team Leadership - Lead, develop, and grow a global team across the US and LATAM: accounting, AP, AR/billing, payroll, treasury, and international functions. - Design the target org structure over time and build key public-company functions: technical accounting, SEC reporting, internal controls/SOX, and FinOps. - Ensure information flows quickly and accurately between Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury.
