Arena Club is a digital marketplace for collectibles, founded by Derek Jeter and Brian Lee. The platform enables collectors to buy, sell, grade, and showcase collectibles in one place, featuring digital card shows, grading and authentication, vaulting, and digital pack openings.
You will own financial planning end-to-end for this fast-growing platform. This includes building and maintaining the long-range plan, annual budget, rolling forecast, and unit economics across all business lines (grading, vaulting, repacks, marketplace). You'll define how the company measures GMV, take rate, and contribution margin, turning those metrics into actionable business decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with the CFO on board decks, investor updates, KPI reporting, and establishing a single source of truth for financial data
- Build and own the annual budget, quarterly re-forecast, and 3–5 year long-range plan as a driver-based model built bottom-up from platform metrics: buyer and seller acquisition, activation, repeat rate, order frequency, AOV, GMV, and take rate
- Own company-wide headcount and workforce planning, including the model, approval process, and execution discipline
- Serve as finance partner to Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Category leaders; own their budgets and hold them accountable to plan
- Build business cases for growth expansion and operational scaling opportunities
- Build, hire, and mentor the FP&A and strategic finance team
- Own the finance systems roadmap: planning tool selection and implementation, BI layer, and data pipeline from transactional systems into the model; partner closely with Accounting on close
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- 12–15+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, or consulting, including 4+ years leading and building a team
- Direct experience in a marketplace, e-commerce, or consumer platform business, with GMV and contribution margin as primary owned metrics
- Demonstrated ownership of a company-level operating model
- Fluency with physical-goods cost stack: logistics, fulfillment, inventory or consignment economics, payments, and fraud
- Equally credible presenting to a board and debugging a model with an analyst
- Comfortable working in a high-growth, AI-forward environment
