New Relic is seeking a visionary VP of Enterprise Information Technology to lead a unified technology mandate and transform fragmented operations into a scalable, AI-first architecture. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, compliance, and fiscal efficiency across the organization.
Key responsibilities include architecting a strategy to eliminate organizational silos and reduce technical debt through centralized technical operations. You will implement the "Customer Zero" reliability model, ensuring internal systems meet the same rigorous stability and monitoring standards as customer-facing products. The role requires leading the organization's compliance efforts for internal tooling, specifically scaling and sustaining FedRAMP/IL4 requirements.
You will drive resource allocation and cost optimization strategies that directly impact EBITDA margins and support the company's Rule of 40 goals. Leadership and talent development are critical—you'll manage and develop high-performing teams, mentor Directors, and foster a culture of cross-functional accountability and innovation.
The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of enterprise IT experience with 10+ years leading teams across multiple management levels. You need a deep understanding of internal and external business contexts and the ability to map technical work to business outcomes. Proven ability to break down silos, inspire execution, and navigate organizational complexity with diplomacy is essential. You should anticipate trends, manage risks, and communicate how technical priorities align with long-term company goals. Change management capability and willingness to disrupt the system to build something better are critical traits.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of observability at a global scale, working with a team of innovators dedicated to empowering companies to thrive in an AI-first world.
