Salary: EUR 39,270 - 72,930 / annual
DTX Pharma, a Novartis Company, is seeking a Quality Control Group Leader to lead the quality control laboratory in Ljubljana. This is a hybrid role based in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
As Quality Control Group Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance of activities in the Ljubljana Aseptic Quality Control Laboratory. You will lead and develop a team of quality control specialists and shift leaders, coordinate daily laboratory activities, and plan operational capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily team activities while ensuring achievement of objectives
- Review and approve documentation, ensuring quality execution of standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Manage production location priorities, coordinate escalations, lead deviation investigations, manage OOS (Out of Specification) events, and ensure timely implementation and effectiveness of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities
- Lead, develop, and mentor quality control specialists and shift leaders through regular one-on-ones, coaching, training, and competency development
- Collaborate on laboratory process optimization
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards
- Demonstrate strategic thinking, work organization, and effective problem-solving
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in pharmacy, biology, chemistry, microbiology, or related natural sciences
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in laboratory processes or similar positions
- Experience coordinating teams, coordinating activities, and effective task delegation
- Proactive approach with focus on results achievement and continuous process improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Active knowledge of English and Slovenian languages
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications:
- Work experience in quality, development, production, or related fields with knowledge of GMP requirements
- Leadership experience
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: €39,270 - €72,930 annually (Band Level 4). Permanent contract with 6-month probation period.
