Shoulder Innovations (NYSE: SI) is a rapidly growing medical device company advancing shoulder care through disciplined innovation. The company is seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Supply Chain to lead the next stage of expansion.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, inventory planning, production planning, logistics, and supply chain performance. You will develop and execute supply chain strategies that support growth, operational excellence, quality compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing the company's supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans
- Leading supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management
- Driving inventory planning and optimization to maintain service levels while controlling costs
- Partnering with manufacturing and operations teams to align production capacity with forecasted demand
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices
- Leading Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes and demand planning initiatives
- Identifying and implementing cost reduction and process improvement opportunities
- Evaluating and leveraging technology and systems to increase visibility and efficiency
- Developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans for business continuity
- Establishing KPIs and reporting processes to monitor supply chain performance
- Building, developing, and leading a high-performing supply chain organization
The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced medical device environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain or operations experience within the medical device industry
- Demonstrated success leading supply chain organizations in a growth-oriented environment
- Strong experience with SIOP, demand planning, supplier capacity planning, and inventory management
- Proven ability to drive operational improvements, cost savings, and performance enhancements
- Experience with ERP and planning systems; NetSuite and NetStock experience preferred
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities
- MBA, APICS, CSCMP, or similar certifications are a plus
