Salary: USD 335,000 - 365,000 / annual
Olema Oncology is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on transforming the standard of care for breast cancer and beyond. The company is advancing toward its first potential product approval and commercial launch in 2027, with top-line data from pivotal Phase 3 trials expected imminently.
The Vice President of Information Technology will serve as Olema's senior technology leader, owning the strategy, security, and day-to-day operations of the global IT function. This role is critical as the company transitions from clinical development toward commercial operations.
Key responsibilities include:
**Enterprise IT Strategy:** Define and execute a multi-year enterprise IT strategy and applications roadmap aligned with business goals across research, development, commercial, and corporate functions. Establish efficient and scalable architecture, integration, cloud, SaaS, data, and technology lifecycle standards that support growth without unnecessary complexity. Build a strategic and effective IT operating model, including internal capabilities, outsourced services, governance, and decision rights.
**Security & Compliance:** Own cybersecurity strategy and implementation in a highly regulated environment. Ensure compliance with healthcare, pharmaceutical, and data protection regulations. Manage risk and establish security governance frameworks.
**Technology & AI Leadership:** Identify, build, and refine new and existing systems, technology tools, and artificial intelligence capabilities the business requires. Serve as an AI-forward leader and strong advocate for rapid, responsible implementation of AI tools and frameworks to improve decision-making, productivity, service delivery, and organizational scalability.
**Cross-functional Partnership:** Partner closely with leaders across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Clinical Development, Pharmacovigilance, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, and G&A functions.
**Commercial Launch Readiness:** Leverage demonstrable commercial launch experience to support the company's transition to a fully integrated oncology company with commercial operations.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on IT experience and leadership with deep Microsoft and O365 expertise. This individual must have strong enterprise-wide mindset and sound judgment in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Analytical thinking with the ability to manage and effectively prioritize competing priorities while adapting to rapid change is essential.
The position is based in San Francisco and will require regular travel to Boston and Ireland as needed.
