Slide Insurance is seeking a Property & Casualty Underwriter to join their team in Tampa. This role involves evaluating insurance applications and managing the underwriting process for personal lines homeowner's insurance. Key Responsibilities: - Review inspections, process changes, cancellations, and non-renewals - Analyze new and existing personal lines business to evaluate risk degree and potential exposure - Obtain and analyze applicant information to determine coverage needs - Evaluate risk levels for insuring each property - Provide recommendations regarding application approval - Assist agents with premium cost determination - Evaluate insurance claims for accuracy and ensure appropriate coverage amounts - Perform additional duties as assigned The role requires in-depth understanding of insurance coverage and policy writing, proficiency in technical underwriting, and the ability to make complex decisions using critical thinking in risk assessment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational and time management abilities, and project management experience are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
