Jeeves is a financial operating system serving 5,000+ clients globally with corporate cards, cross-border payments, and spend management software. The company operates across 20+ countries and has raised over $380M from top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, and founders of unicorns like Nubank and Rappi.
Brazil is one of Jeeves's fastest-growing markets with rapidly increasing corporate card applications. This role adds underwriting capacity to the Brazil team, which currently relies on a single senior underwriter. You'll work alongside that senior underwriter, handling a growing share of the application queue while learning to make sound credit decisions at scale.
You'll perform credit analysis on new applications from Brazilian startups and SMBs, reviewing financial statements (DRE, balanço), bank data, bureau reports, and internal model scores. You'll prepare clear credit recommendations with proposed limits, key risks, and mitigants for review and approval. The role involves explaining how model scores and non-model assessments fit together, researching borrowers and industries, and working within agreed turnaround times.
Portfolio monitoring is a key responsibility: you'll run periodic reviews of existing accounts, track portfolio health metrics (utilization, payment behavior, delinquency), flag accounts needing attention, and partner with Collections on stressed accounts. You'll maintain organized account files so any teammate can pick up decisions.
You'll use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) to support analysis and verify outputs against source data. You'll suggest improvements to AI workflows and help evaluate new Brazilian data sources. You won't hold final approval authority initially—you'll earn more as you build judgment and track record—but there's a clear path to a senior underwriting role as Brazil scales.
Cross-functional work includes giving Sales and Account Management timely answers on applications and limits, joining customer conversations when needed, and sharing market insights with the wider Credit & Risk team.
