OpenAI's Corporate Security team is seeking an experienced Travel Security Manager to lead regional travel security operations across Asia-Pacific. Reporting to the Global Travel Security Manager, you will own the full travel risk management lifecycle for APAC, from pre-travel assessment and preparation through active-trip monitoring, incident response, and post-incident learning.
You will independently manage complex travel security cases, advise senior leaders on risk-based travel decisions, and support travelers during incidents and crises. Key responsibilities include conducting high-risk travel reviews, producing intelligence-led risk assessments and decision briefs, monitoring geopolitical and security risks, leading incident response to medical emergencies and security events, and maintaining regional procedures and playbooks. You will manage external providers including medical and security assistance services, work with intelligence analysts, and use travel management and case-management tools effectively.
This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in corporate travel security. You will partner with travelers and business teams to deliver proportionate, practical security measures while supporting company events, executive travel, and strategic business activities. The role involves approximately 25% travel across APAC and occasionally to other regions.
You will work cross-functionally with Corporate Security, Protective Intelligence, Finance, People, Legal, Immigration, Global Mobility, Communications, and Information Security teams. Success requires strong analytical skills, excellent judgment under pressure, and the ability to translate intelligence into clear operational recommendations and traveler communications.
