Anthropic is seeking a Transaction Principal for Europe to lead the commercial sourcing and execution of data center capacity deals across the region. This role is critical to securing the infrastructure powering Anthropic's frontier AI systems. You will drive the end-to-end transaction process: leading RFP processes, negotiating term sheets and LOIs, and serving as the central coordinator ensuring seamless alignment across legal, finance, engineering, and network teams. You'll bridge commercial negotiations with complex internal coordination, partnering closely with the Compute Markets team on market strategy and government relationships. Key responsibilities include: - Leading RFP and commercial sourcing for European data center deals across multiple markets - Negotiating term sheets and managing LOI processes to meet Anthropic's technical and business requirements - Creating the bridge from LOI to executed transaction, ensuring all commercial, technical, and legal requirements are satisfied - Serving as project manager for cross-functional stakeholder engagement (due diligence, legal, network, platform engineering, finance) - Acting as single point of contact for networks, deployments, and government relations - Developing and maintaining transaction timelines, identifying risks that could impact deal closure - Translating technical and operational needs into contractual terms - Managing complex digital infrastructure development activities to construction-ready state - Navigating country-specific permitting, grid connection, and regulatory requirements across European markets - Documenting and refining transaction processes and playbooks for scalable deal execution - Partnering with Compute Markets Manager to prioritize markets, sites, and counterparties This is not an established leasing organization; you'll be building processes alongside execution across multiple countries with distinct regulatory, power, and development dynamics. Ideal candidates have 10+ years in transaction management, commercial real estate, data center leasing, or infrastructure procurement. You should have a proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder transactions from sourcing through execution, strong negotiation skills, and experience with RFP processes for large-scale infrastructure. European market experience is highly valued, including knowledge of FLAP-D hubs and emerging markets like the Nordics and Southern Europe. You're comfortable operating across multiple countries with different legal frameworks and business cultures, highly organized with strong attention to detail, and can thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Data center or hyperscale infrastructure transaction experience is a bonus.
