Setpoint provides operational infrastructure for credit relationships between major banks, credit funds, and capital markets counterparties. As a Transaction Manager, you will own third-party review (TPR) engagements end-to-end, performing loan-level credit analysis on non-QM consumer files.
Your core responsibilities include conducting detailed credit reviews covering income (including alternative documentation like bank statements and P&L), assets, liabilities, credit history, and collateral/valuation. You will make and defend exception decisions, interpret client scope and guidelines against investor requirements, and resolve files that fall outside standard guidelines. You'll maintain consistency across loan portfolios, identify systemic issues, and escalate complex cases appropriately.
On the client delivery side, you'll manage engagements from start to finish—translating client requirements into review parameters, delivering results on quantity, quality, and SLA timelines, and communicating findings clearly. You'll write exception and audit responses when clients or their auditors challenge findings, and serve as the primary point of contact throughout each engagement.
You'll coordinate across internal operations, product, and compliance teams. The role offers early-stage opportunity to shape an AI-assisted platform that already makes underwriters roughly 20x more efficient. You'll have direct access to the product team building the platform, so manual bottlenecks you encounter can become features you help design rather than workarounds you manage.
Ideal candidates are experienced loan reviewers tired of manual data extraction and document chasing, problem-solvers who engage effectively with clients, and builders interested in improving processes rather than just executing them.
