Form Energy is hiring a Training Manager to lead training operations and workforce development at its high-volume battery manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV. This role owns end-to-end training for a 24/7 operation, including new hire onboarding, on-the-job training (OJT), cross-training, and requalification across all production areas. You will build and maintain a structured qualification and certification program using skills matrices, training-within-industry (TWI) methods, and train-the-trainer approaches. You will manage the site's learning management system (LMS), training records, and compliance documentation to ensure audit readiness. You will develop career progression and upskilling pathways to support retention and internal promotion, partner with production managers on training capacity planning for hiring ramps and new line startups, and establish training effectiveness metrics (time-to-qualification, compliance, first-pass yield, safety performance). You will ensure all safety and compliance training requirements (OSHA, LOTO, powered industrial vehicles, hazardous materials) are met in partnership with EHS. You will lead and mentor a team of trainers and technical writers in a collaborative, high-performing environment. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Operations. Required: 5+ years training/L&D/workforce development in manufacturing with people management experience; 8+ years overall manufacturing/industrial experience; Bachelor's degree in Education, Engineering, Business, or technical discipline; demonstrated experience building qualification programs, skills matrices, and OJT structures; strong technical writing and document control skills; LMS administration and audit-ready record-keeping; knowledge of adult learning principles and structured training methods (TWI, ADDIE); ability to develop and track training KPIs; strong communication and organizational skills.
