As Trading Infrastructure Engineer, you will own the infrastructure powering Ostrom's trading platform as a key member of the Trading team. You'll take full responsibility for the systems that enable the company to operate as a digital electricity provider in the green energy market.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide and maintain compute infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, logging, and monitoring for trading systems; manage associated cloud costs
- Own system architecture for the trading platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and low-latency performance
- Manage exchange connectivity and provide engineering support across trading infrastructure
- Drive AI adoption: roll out coding agents, establish shared agent rules and guardrails, maintain MCP integrations and context documentation consistency across repositories

REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in trading infrastructure engineering or related field
- Production-grade code writing ability (Python or similar) with best practices: Git, automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews
- Hands-on AWS infrastructure management: compute (ECS, Lambda), data/messaging (Firehose, SQS, Postgres, DynamoDB, S3), monitoring (CloudWatch)
- Containerization experience (Docker) and observability tools (logging, metrics, alerting)
- MLOps and ML infrastructure experience: model training, deployment, scheduling, data processing, monitoring in cloud environments
- Strong system architecture design understanding for high-availability, low-latency systems
- Familiarity with AI coding tools and AI-assisted workflows
- Excellent English communication (B2–C1 level)
NICE TO HAVE:
- Exchange connectivity experience (EPEX, EEX, or ISVs)
- Ray and Airflow experience
- Terraform experience
- Understanding of European energy markets
- German language skills
- Prior startup experience
