Hightouch is an Agentic Marketing Platform built on a Composable CDP, trusted by enterprises like Domino's, Spotify, and Ramp. The company was founded in 2019, is headquartered in San Francisco, and was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Customer Data Platforms.
You will own solution design and implementation for Hightouch's Identity Resolution (IDR) product—a blend of data analytics and data engineering. IDR helps sprawling enterprises with multiple brands create a unified, configurable golden source of truth across fragmented customer data while respecting regulatory restrictions.
Your responsibilities include:
**Solution Architecture & Implementation**: Work backwards from customer use cases to design IDR rules and data models that enable those outcomes. During pre-sales, assess the customer's data landscape and maturity, understand existing identity solutions (Reltio, Amperity, Segment, MDM tools), and identify gaps and workarounds.
**Technical Support & Debugging**: Investigate and resolve customer issues end-to-end, including missing datapoints and over-merging scenarios. Most debugging involves writing SQL against customer warehouses and reading server logs. Explain how warehouse-native identity resolution works, including incremental processing and outcome tables. Surface recurring product gaps to the engineering team.
**Cross-functional Collaboration**: Work directly with data, marketing, and executive teams at household-name companies. Partner with Sales Engineering on pre-sales deals and with Customer Support Engineering and Technical Account Management on post-sales implementations. Serve as the subject matter expert for data engineering and analytics across the customer lifecycle.
**AI-Assisted Development**: You'll work with coding agents as a default—SQL, schema exploration, and internal tooling get built with agents. You'll help grow the repository of skills and best practices to accelerate the team.
**Requirements**:
- 2–4 years in analytics engineering, solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or implementation roles, ideally at a data infrastructure, CDP, or B2B SaaS company
- SQL fluency: ability to read and critique generated SQL, identify performance issues, and optimize warehouse costs. Proficiency in Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery required
- Systems thinking: reason about identity graph behavior at scale, understand architectural trade-offs, and anticipate downstream consequences
- Consultative communication: run discovery calls, ask clarifying questions, and explain technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Systematic debugging mindset: form hypotheses, test them, document findings, and think through root causes (timestamps, model definitions, PK validity) before jumping to conclusions
- Ability to direct AI agents, scrutinize their output, and take final responsibility before shipping to production
**Nice to Have**:
- Experience with identity resolution, MDM, or CDP products (Segment, Amperity, Reltio, LiveRamp)
- Familiarity with graph data structures and entity resolution algorithms
- Experience with probabilistic matching or ML-based identity systems
- Background in data engineering or analytics engineering
- Comfort with customer-facing presentations and on-site meetings
