In this Test Engineer role, you will be responsible for comprehensive testing across multiple dimensions: platform testing, functional testing, feature testing, solution testing, and regression testing. You'll perform both manual testing and build/enhance test automation using scripting languages. Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining testbeds, qualifying software releases, and delivering on quality metrics. You'll collaborate with POC engineering teams on customer-specific testing during proof-of-concepts, and work closely with software, hardware, and support teams to reproduce faults, debug issues, and update test scripts to prevent bug recurrence.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in test, QA, or solutions testing roles (hands-on testing experience is mandatory)
- Proficient in networking technologies, software, network protocols, network designs, and deployments with hands-on experience across diverse Network Operating Systems (NOS) such as IOS, IOS-XR, EOS, and Junos
- Proficient in working with well-known traffic generators and network test hardware/software solutions
- Proven ability to write good test plans and effectively debug and troubleshoot complex networking issues (hardware and software)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly desirable: Experience with SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) or open source OS
- Plus: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python), programming languages (C, C++), automation tools (Ansible), AI development tools (Gemini, Co-pilot, Augment, etc.)
- Plus: Familiarity with container technologies (Docker) and databases (SQL, NoSQL)
