The company serves 18 of the top 20 global automakers, the US military, and operates across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture sectors. The Tokyo office, established in 2019 with 40+ employees, is seeking a System Test Engineer to ensure reliability and performance of automotive products through comprehensive verification processes. This role is central to validating autonomous vehicle and advanced driver assistance system capabilities. You will collaborate with system development teams to understand requirements and define test cases for vehicle-in-the-loop and in-vehicle testing. Key responsibilities include designing test cases and procedures for comprehensive coverage, analyzing test results to identify issues, working with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems, contributing to release recommendations based on test data, and organizing/executing field testing and test track campaigns. The role operates within a dynamic, customer-focused team culture emphasizing fast execution and excellence. You will contribute to best practices in the automotive industry and have a multiplying effect on bringing autonomous systems to production readiness. Applied Intuition is an in-office company with expectation of 5 days/week from the Tokyo office, though occasional flexibility is recognized for morning remote work or schedule adjustments. REQUIREMENTS: - 2+ years of experience creating and executing test plans for software and hardware systems - Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and processes related to systems in automotive, robotics, or IT - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills - Strong communication and collaboration abilities with experience in cross-functional teams - Passion for bringing complex software and hardware systems to production-ready state NICE TO HAVE: - Previous experience in V&V (verification and validation) at an autonomous vehicle company
