As Technical Support Engineer III, you will own the most complex escalations across the support organization, working on issues involving cellular connectivity, networking, and Linux systems. This is a senior technical role focused on deep troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and elevating the entire support team's capabilities.
Key responsibilities include: resolving complex escalations across cellular, LAN, and Linux-based systems on deployed units; coaching tier I and II support agents through diagnosis and problem-solving; performing deep log analysis and network tracing across the full stack; identifying recurring failure patterns and driving permanent fixes with engineering teams; owning and authoring runbooks and standard operating procedures; representing Support in post-incident reviews on high-severity outages; configuring system and network settings to restore performance; communicating directly with customers during critical incidents; and driving technical projects end-to-end including diagnostic tooling and automation.
Ideal candidates bring escalation-level troubleshooting expertise (solving problems without a runbook), deep Linux command-line proficiency, strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VPNs, firewalls), familiarity with cellular/LTE-connected devices or IoT systems, disciplined root cause analysis, and a commitment to documentation ownership. This is an in-office role based in American Fork, Utah, working alongside support teams and partnering directly with software and cloud infrastructure engineers.
