Graphcore is building the future of AI compute infrastructure as part of the SoftBank Group. This Technical Sourcing Manager role reports to the Supply Chain Director and is based in Taipei, leading strategic sourcing of PCBA components and supplier relations for hardware production. Key responsibilities include identifying, evaluating, and selecting PCBA component suppliers; negotiating commercial agreements and contracts to optimize cost, quality, and delivery; and managing relationships with key vendors as the primary point of contact. You will partner closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to support new product introductions, drive cost optimization through value engineering and competitive sourcing, and monitor supplier performance against key metrics. The role requires identifying and mitigating supply chain risks to ensure continuity of critical components, collaborating with quality teams to resolve supplier issues, analyzing market trends and component availability to inform strategy, and leading the development of procurement processes and guidelines within the team. You'll work within the Supply Chain team under the Operations group, with colleagues in Bristol and Taiwan, managing the manufacturing subcontract supply chain for Graphcore's AI compute hardware. Required qualifications include minimum 5 years of supply chain expertise in high-tech sectors, deep understanding of material planning cycles and EE component supplier management, demonstrated procurement success in electronics/hardware manufacturing with PCBA market knowledge, ability to navigate cross-functional environments with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams, strong analytical and commercial skills, and bilingual English/Mandarin proficiency to coordinate with local suppliers and regional partners.
