Salary: USD 164,000 - 231,000 / annual
Muon Space, a LEO satellite constellation provider founded in 2021, seeks a Technical Solutions Manager to join the Information Technology team. This role owns the evaluation, selection, deployment, and lifecycle management of enterprise software and SaaS tools that enable engineering, manufacturing, and launch operations across the organization.
Key responsibilities include conducting technical trade studies and software evaluations to assess architectural fit, security posture, and total cost of ownership. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders—including InfoSec, Legal, and Procurement—to define technical requirements, perform vendor due diligence, and negotiate SLAs. You will lead the initial setup, tenant configuration, and IT integration of newly acquired software, and act as the primary technical point of contact for external SaaS vendors.
Day-to-day duties encompass license lifecycle management, budget forecasting for renewals, per-team cost allocation, and seat utilization tracking. You will identify and eliminate redundant tools, automate license harvesting to reduce waste, and perform routine audits to detect shadow IT and maintain security compliance (SOC 2, ISO). You will also streamline the internal IT intake framework to reduce software evaluation and deployment lead times.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT/IS roles focused on software architecture, enterprise tool evaluation, SaaS management, or IT operations. A B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience) is required. You should have a proven track record leading technical trade studies, vendor evaluations, and TCO/ROI analyses for software acquisitions, plus strong experience with InfoSec, Legal, and Procurement collaboration on technical due diligence and contract negotiations. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, as is comfort in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Nice-to-have skills include recent hardware or aerospace engineering experience and success in startup settings.
