Adyen is a global fintech platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The In-Person Payments (IPP) Integrity team focuses on improving how Adyen's in-person payment products are tested, released, certified, and monitored—spanning traditional terminals, card readers, and mobile phone payments.
As Technical Project Manager for Software Release, you will own and drive improvements to the software release process for in-person payments. Your responsibilities include:
• Planning and organizing the software release schedule, coordinating with engineering teams across the organization
• Leading strategic internal projects to improve release management, testing, monitoring, and incident management processes
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical teams—both internal and external—to deliver process improvements
• Defining key performance metrics for release quality, monitoring tools, and testing infrastructure
• Proactively identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance reliability, quality, and execution speed of firmware releases
You will work in a fast-growing business unit, partnering with multiple engineering teams to make release processes more data-driven, streamlined, and automated. The goal is to enable Adyen's engineering teams to build and verify products independently, quickly, and at massive scale.
Required qualifications: 3+ years of project management experience in a technical environment. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle from planning through release and monitoring. Ability to work independently and autonomously. Comfort working under uncertainty and scoping complex projects and processes. Excellent communication skills in English, with strong stakeholder management and analytical abilities.
Desirable: experience in reliability engineering, release management, DevOps, testing, monitoring, or incident management. Background in payments industry or payment terminals is a plus but not required.
