Salary: USD 127,500 - 178,000 / annual
Oura is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join the Science team and manage cross-functional R&D initiatives for new health sensing capabilities. You will own integrated project plans for R&D efforts, translating scientific and sensing needs into clear requirements, interfaces, and escalation paths. Your responsibilities include coordinating hand-offs across teams (Science, Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Product), negotiating realistic commitments, and applying working knowledge of algorithm development and hardware build-and-test cycles to identify readiness gaps in testing and validation. You will surface risks early, drive decisions to closure, maintain ownership of protocols and specifications, and contribute to improving how the Science team runs projects by reducing duplication and standardizing only where it reduces friction.
This role requires deep cross-functional collaboration with scientists, technical leads, program managers, and functional leaders. You will maintain clear documentation through decision logs, risk registers, and readiness trackers to keep distributed teams aligned. The role involves working across international, distributed teams with flexibility to collaborate with European colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years leading scientific or technical projects with clear ownership of milestones, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional execution within a defined program scope
- Experience managing projects in a scientific, engineering, or product-validation environment; human-subjects research and/or wearable tech experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of algorithm development practices and hardware build-and-test cycles sufficient to spot readiness gaps and translate them into concrete requirements
- Ability to negotiate timelines against real team capacity, clarify ownership, and push back constructively
- Experience working across international, distributed teams with flexibility to collaborate across time zones
- Strong attention to detail with a track record of clear documentation (decision logs, risk registers, readiness trackers, or similar artifacts)
- Technical degree or equivalent experience demonstrating strong technical fluency in a scientific/engineering environment
