Slip Robotics is hiring a Technical Project Manager for Robotics Software to own the operational backbone of the software team shipping autonomous robotic systems to customer facilities. This role bridges engineering, product, hardware, and field deployment teams, managing the complete lifecycle from code merge through fleet deployment and post-release monitoring. Key responsibilities include: organizing the software team's backlog, sprint planning, and cross-team dependencies; owning test planning and coordination across simulation, test robots, pilot sites, and customer deployments; driving releases through qualification and staged fleet rollout with clear go/no-go criteria; monitoring fleet health post-release, triaging regressions, and closing the loop from field failures back into the backlog; and building lightweight, scalable processes that improve with each release cycle. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical program management, release management, or engineering operations for hardware-software products (robotics, automotive, aerospace, medical devices). You must have end-to-end release ownership experience including qualification, go/no-go decisions, staged rollouts, and post-release monitoring. Experience planning and coordinating testing with physical hardware and field environments is essential. Technical fluency is critical—you'll read dashboards, logs, and failure data; distinguish real blockers from noise; and engage engineers on their terms. An engineering background is a strong plus. You'll demonstrate workflow design and stakeholder adoption skills, and drive accountability across teams you don't directly manage, including delivering hard messages about readiness and schedule impacts. Preferred qualifications include direct experience with autonomous mobile robots, AGVs, or fleet-deployed robotic systems; fleet observability tooling (telemetry dashboards, log analysis); functional-safety or regulated-industry release processes (ISO 13849, ISO 3691-4); customer-site testing and deployment coordination; and startup/scale-up experience building processes from scratch. This is not a ceremony-runner role. You'll own the machinery that gets releases from merged code to reliable fleet operation, partnering daily with the CTO, engineering leads, product, hardware, and deployment teams.
