Morpho is a leading decentralized finance (DeFi) lending protocol backed by top-tier crypto investors (a16z crypto, Paradigm, Coinbase Ventures, and others) with over $1 billion in deposits and institutional adoption from Bitwise, Galaxy, Anchorage Digital, and major exchanges including Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken. The company is scaling to establish itself as the open credit network globally.
This is Morpho's first dedicated Technical Project Manager hire for the Protocol team. You will build and scale the TPM function while managing a portfolio of concurrent protocol projects that involve product, engineering, and external stakeholders from inception.
Key responsibilities include: building and maintaining protocol roadmaps in Linear with schedules, dependencies, and milestones; owning communication with internal teams and external stakeholders (curators, distributors, partners) on protocol changes and releases; monitoring cross-project health and anticipating risks before they become blockers; coordinating syncs across protocol, product, and engineering teams; managing audit firm relationships including contract negotiation, tracking, and timeline coordination; and defining/improving Morpho's project management processes as the team scales.
Success metrics: by 30 days, you have visibility into current/upcoming projects and understand stakeholders and development processes; by 3 months, you proactively maintain the roadmap and manage auditor relationships while understanding cross-project dependencies; by 6 months, you spot planning conflicts before they escalate and own audit contract negotiation end-to-end.
Required: Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent); 5+ years in Technical Project Management or related advanced technical/research roles; excellent technical communication ability to distill complex information for any audience; deep command of project management methodologies and tools, especially in research-centric environments; comfort in fast-changing, ambiguous contexts; strong async communication; high ownership and autonomy; team-first mindset.
