Instructure is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Implementation Consultant) to serve customers across EMEA, combining project management and technical consultation responsibilities.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will manage the full project lifecycle for customer implementations, including requirements gathering, project planning, resource assignment, and risk identification. During execution, you will manage stakeholder expectations, coordinate with subject matter experts, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery. You will provide regular status updates tailored to different audiences, maintain project documentation, and conduct closure activities including customer acceptance and retrospectives. You will also deliver core administrative training to clients on Canvas instance configuration and system management.
TECHNICAL CONSULTATION RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will handle core integrations and configuration including single sign-on (SSO) with identity providers, data integrations with student information systems and HR platforms, role and permission configuration, LTI application installation, and account hierarchy design. For customizations, you will identify AI opportunities, build technical documentation, consult on JavaScript and CSS customizations, scope technical solutions, and guide customers on API usage. You will manage internal and external stakeholder communication, research client needs, and identify areas for additional support and training.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to confidently and effectively manage external stakeholders for project delivery
- Experience designing, documenting, and communicating technical solutions in SaaS ecosystems
- Familiarity with multiple identity provider authentication systems
- Experience and familiarity with APIs and application integration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to determine priorities based on timeline and business value
- Proficiency with web conferencing and web-based tools (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar)
- Eligibility to work in Hungary with ability to work remotely from Budapest
- Willingness to travel across EMEA for onsite client work (up to 20%)
EXCEPTIONAL CANDIDATES MAY ALSO HAVE:
- Fluency in one or more additional European languages alongside English
- Experience delivering projects for customers in multiple EMEA countries
- Experience with one or more programming languages
- Working knowledge of technology deployment strategies in educational contexts
- Experience building custom reports and data visualizations
