Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building sustainable data center solutions to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. The company owns and operates the full stack—from energy generation to cloud services—with an energy-first approach that addresses AI compute's power bottleneck.
As a Technical Project Manager for Data Center Operations, you will drive the physical expansion and operational readiness of Crusoe's sustainable data center infrastructure. You will lead complex, high-impact infrastructure deployment projects, orchestrating site readiness, structured cabling installations, and cloud infrastructure bring-up across data center environments. This role bridges physical deployment and operational reality, directly accelerating Crusoe's mission to build climate-aligned digital infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing all aspects of site readiness and coordinating with diverse stakeholders to ensure facilities are fully prepared for equipment installation and operational deployment
- Leading end-to-end project management for physical layer and cable infrastructure rollouts, driving vendor execution from planning through testing and handoff
- Partnering with internal deployment engineers to oversee structured cabling installations (backbone fiber, copper, pathways, containment) and ensuring third-party vendors execute to engineering specifications and timelines
- Aligning project goals and dependencies across Digital Infrastructure Group (DIG), Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and external partners
- Developing and maintaining detailed project plans using Gantt charts and tracking tools to map critical milestones and ensure on-time delivery
- Proactively identifying project risks, physical constraints, and resource blockers, establishing mitigation strategies
- Delivering clear, proactive updates on project progress, risks, and milestones to engineering, operations, and leadership teams
- Standardizing and optimizing deployment methodologies and contributing new processes and documentation
The ideal candidate is self-directed, highly organized, and thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments. You bring deep understanding of physical infrastructure deployments, data center operations, and cloud readiness, paired with exceptional collaboration skills to align cross-functional teams and external vendors.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of experience in technical project or program management, with dedicated focus on infrastructure deployments, data center operations, hardware rollouts, or large-scale technical infrastructure projects
- Solid foundational understanding of data center site readiness, networking, server deployments, and cloud readiness concepts
- Demonstrated experience supporting hardware deployments, rack and stack operations, or physical layer infrastructure rollouts within complex data center environments
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects from inception to completion, with meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional proficiency in advanced project management tools, including Gantt charts, for planning, scheduling, and tracking
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities with natural tendency to anticipate stakeholder information needs
- Strong analytical abilities and resilient mindset capable of navigating unforeseen physical constraints, resolving conflict, and adapting to changing priorities
- Ability and willingness to travel to physical data center sites as needed for hands-on project oversight
BONUS:
- Degree or field of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management, or related technical field
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP) certifications
- 10+ years managing large-scale, hyper-scale, or modular data center build-outs and physical layer installations
- Experience or interest in alternative energy systems, stranded energy resources, or climate-aligned computing technologies
