Cordance is a B2B SaaS operator and acquirer focused on scaling vertically-focused software companies. The Technical Project Manager will lead planning and execution for complex, cross-functional technology initiatives across the Cordance Commerce platform.
This role translates strategic business priorities into coordinated delivery plans, creates transparency around milestones and dependencies, and enables Engineering, Product, Architecture, Customer Success, Support, Sales, and business leaders to deliver measurable outcomes predictably. The ideal candidate combines disciplined program management with technical fluency sufficient to manage software, data, infrastructure, platform, and migration initiatives—without replacing engineering or product ownership.
Key responsibilities include: leading end-to-end planning for strategic technology projects (platform consolidation, database modernization, unified reporting, reliability improvements, integrations, AI-enabled initiatives); translating business priorities into clear project charters, workstreams, milestones, dependencies, and resource plans; establishing integrated project plans across multiple functions and external partners; facilitating kickoffs, planning sessions, weekly reviews, risk reviews, decision forums, and retrospectives; tracking scope, schedule, capacity, budget, risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions; creating transparent reporting on planned-versus-delivered work, milestone health, delivery confidence, and business outcomes; coordinating release and migration readiness across technical and customer-facing teams; partnering with Product and Engineering leaders to maintain clear priorities and realistic commitments; improving the technology delivery operating model and standards; administering project-management workflows in tools like Asana or Jira; managing vendor and contractor deliverables; and building trusted relationships across teams to resolve ambiguity and ensure stakeholder alignment.
Required competencies include delivery leadership for complex multi-team initiatives, technical fluency in software development, cloud platforms, databases, APIs, integrations, testing, and production operations, planning and forecasting from incomplete information, risk and decision management, executive communication, facilitation and influence across organizational boundaries, customer and business focus connecting technology to revenue and strategic outcomes, and continuous improvement mindset.
