Salary: USD 80,000 - 130,000 / annual
Ocient is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end planning and execution of technical programs and projects for an emerging analytics company. You will own scope, timeline, resourcing, risk, and budget tracking across complex software development initiatives. This role requires coordinating across Solutions Delivery, Systems, Customer Operations, Engineering, QA, Product Management, and Sales teams.
Key responsibilities include managing hardware and software installation projects with coordination of procurement, site readiness, customer/vendor schedules, and go-live cutovers. You will coordinate database-related workstreams including requirements definitions, deployments, migrations, and workflow implementations. You are responsible for building and maintaining project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and dashboards; running stand-ups, steering committee updates, and retrospectives. You will identify risks and blockers early, drive them to resolution, and escalate proactively when timelines or scope are at risk. Managing a portfolio of concurrent projects while prioritizing based on business impact and dependencies is essential. You will also continuously improve program management processes, templates, and tooling for the team.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in management information science, computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field
- 4+ years of program or project management experience, ideally in a technical or engineering-adjacent environment
- Hands-on experience managing projects involving databases (cloud, on-prem, as a service), data workflows, or data platform operations
- Experience coordinating hardware and/or software installation or deployment projects (on-prem, data center, or cloud infrastructure)
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid) and tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting status and trade-offs to technical and executive audiences
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail and follow-through
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship available)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification
- Experience in Adtech, Telecommunications, and/or Network Security environments
- Familiarity with distributed systems, data warehousing, or large-scale data infrastructure
- Understanding of SQL, database HA/DR, and database security
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers on technical deployments
- Background in a startup or high-growth, fast-paced technical organization
